Product description
SKYLOTEC has voluntarily recalled all its first generation devices of Skylotec Via Ferrata Set SKYRIDER for a precautionary technical review after irregularities were detected with its locking pin. The locking pin for the locking bolt was not applied for all devices. In exceptional cases this can lead to an over–rotation of the locking bolt. This could lead to decreased performance or cause a complete blockage of the device. The first generation of the SKYRIDER was also manufactured with a 4 knurl construction. In occasional instances this construction can lead to a blockage of the appliance.
SKYLOTEC assures customers it will take all precautions to guarantee the safety of its devices for users. All devices affected by the recall have 4 knurl. All later generation of devices are safe and free of these irregularities due to the revision of materials and manufacturing procedures. Contact sicherheit@skylotec.de
